November 15, 2006 Life has been insane since the end of summer - more so than normal. Unfortunately, it led to my decision to quit my radio show, which I miss greatly. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the guests that have joined me either live, or via phone over the past three years. (I will never stop promoting independent Canadian music.) I'd especially like to thank my ex-co-host, and guitar-playing extra-ordinaire, Rob Skitmore, who's band Department of Foreign Affairs is releasing their third CD at the Babylon Nightclub in Ottawa on Saturday, November 18, 2006. Speaking of upcoming shows, here are a few of my upcoming dates:
Event: Marie-Josée
Houle opening for Cindy Doire Cindy Doire is a lovely gal I met on MySpace. After the show, I'll be spending the weekend recording tracks for her CD!
Event: Marie-Josée
Houle and Benoit Joanisse
Then I get to take a long awaited break over the holidays and head back to Norway. I imagine I'll be seeing some of the same sights I saw this past summer, only they will be covered with ice and snow, and will be exposed to only four hours of daylight. (Boye, these photos are for you!) I can't wait to ski and sit by a fireplace! Upon my return, I will be hitting the carpet running and kick things off with a show with the lovely Sacha Gabriel! Hope to see you soon! Marie-Josée xx
